Dipping into the “Stream – Reflections on the Life of J.S. Bach

March 14, 2021

Johanne Sebastian Bach was born into a poor family of musicians in 1685 in the same German town  as Martin Luther two centuries before.  He was orphaned by the time he was 10 years old and lost his first wife by the time he was age 33.  Knowing a little bit of the background of this unusual man’s life allows his music to come alive and become all the more impressive.
