Worship

First Parish will NOT have worship during the month of July.

Sunday Services resume August 4th at 10:30 am and will feature various guest preachers. There will be no church school or childcare.

We will not have Sunday worship on Labor Day weekend, but we will kick off the new program year with Homecoming Sunday on Sunday, September 8th!

Office Hours

Starting June 30, Jeff Barz-Snell will be on vacation and study leave until August 1. Pastoral Care requests may be directed to Rev. Sarah Napoline and Betsy Gibson in the Church Office (781-893-7798).

Betsy and Sarah will be taking Fridays off through July, and access to the building will be limited on weekends. Due to other staff vacations, please call 781-893-7798 or email staff before making a special trip to the church. The e-Parish Post will be sent periodically with updates and information.

Events & Programs

• FPCW BOOK GROUP – will meet next on Thursday, July 11, at 9:30 am in person in the Library (or via Zoom). We’ll discuss Tom Lake by Anne Patchett and hope that you will bring some suggestions for upcoming books. https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85895362454
• PRE-CONCERT SUMMERTIME SOIRÉE IN THE GARDEN, WEDNESDAY, JULY 17, AT 6:00 PM. Join church members and friends for wine and cheese, then head over for the Summer Concert on the Weston Town Green, starting at 7 pm. Kids are welcome – church playground will be open. Bring some folding chairs. Park in the church lot, enjoy an outdoor garden get-together, and then walk to the Green for the concert.
• SUMMER MOVIE NIGHT! – Third Thursdays, JUNE 20, JULY 18 & AUGUST 15 – GATHER AT 7:00 PM. We’ll be out under the stars on the First Parish Playground (or the Parish Hall if it rains) – bring comfortable seats and come enjoy snacks (or dinner) with friends; the film will start when the skies darken sufficiently (or at 7:15 PM if we’re indoors). Movie selection TBD — email Sarah or Robert with any requests/suggestions!
• BRISTOL LODGE — Our next meal for Bristol Lodge will be July 24th. The meal will include BBQ Chicken Skewers, Potato Salad, Green Salad, Watermelon and Brownies, Bars or Cookies. Cynthia Brisky has generously offered to head the kitchen crew that day. The number of clients Bristol Lodge serves has increased to 65. A list of needs and disposable pans are in the Breezeway and Office Vestibule. We appreciate any and all help! Summer Schedule for Weekly/Monthly Programs

• YOGA FLOW WITH SARAH NAPOLINE will not meet in July or August. Classes will resume after the church year begins in September.
• KNITTERS & STITCHERS will not meet in July. Stay tuned to our e-Parish Post for information about when we will resume meeting.
• WEEKLY MORNING MEDITATION will not meet in July. Join us again starting on THURSDAY, Aug. 1st (yes, we’re switching to a different day of the week!). A new Zoom link will be published in late July.
• RETIRED MEN’S LUNCH, BEREAVEMENT GROUP, AND LADIES WHO LUNCH will be on hiatus during July and August. Watch the e-Parish Post for fall dates!
