Memorials and Funerals

Death is a time of loss and grieving, but also a time when a family needs to make many decisions.  We are here pastorally to comfort and help you. We are also here in our role as a church to assist you in planning a funeral or memorial service and the burial of cremated remains.

This church was organized by the Puritans in 1698 as the town church, intended to serve all residents. The main sanctuary seats approximately 300 people and is air-conditioned. The separate Sears chapel, which seats approximately 90 people, is available for smaller memorial services and is also air-conditioned.

The first step is to call our Minister who will help you identify the steps that you will want to take.  Our Minister and our Parish Administrator will then work with you make any church-related plans for a memorial service and/or burial of cremated remains in the Miles and Gertrude Hanson Memorial Garden.
