October Family Service & Supper
- Date: Sunday, October 2, 2022
- Time: 5:00pm–6:30pm
- Location:First Parish Chapel, 349 Boston Post Road, Weston, MA 02493
- Are you and your family feeling worn out by busy schedules and demanding expectations?
- Have you been looking for a way to cultivate more curiosity, wonder, and hope in your children – and yourself?
- Do you want to experience deeper connections, not just talk about them?
Join us Sunday, October 2nd for our Family Service & Supper – an all-ages worship service followed by a simple meal of soup, bread, crackers, and cookies.
We continue to adapt to a changing world, but even as we shift toward a “new normal” we are reminded that even “normal” can be stressful and overwhelming. If you feel like you and your family need to slow down a little or hit a “reset” button, come find some rest, renewal, and joy to recharge your emotional batteries for the week and month ahead.
These gatherings are planned for people of all ages and stages, as well as different backgrounds and traditions. The service lasts approximately 50 minutes and is followed by a short time for food and fellowship — arrive by 5:00 and you’ll be back on the road by 6:30 PM.
Filled with engaging music of different styles and eras – from jazz to hymns to pop music and musicals – these services include short readings and stories, as well as some time to share joys & sorrows. We include some time practicing silence & stillness, and the worship leader offers a reflection about making meaning in our lives and building connections with one another. This is a great and inspiring way for families and individuals to start their week off right.
Come unplug at our Family Service & Supper and find your “reset” — refresh your mind & renew your spirit.
