Dr. William Moomaw has been a lead author of five major intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reports, including in 2007, when the team was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for its climate work.
His academic and research interests have included increasing the role of forests and wetlands to achieve climate goals, energy technology and policies that address climate change, water and climate change, economics and geochemistry of the nitrogen cycle, sustainable development, and negotiation strategies for environmental agreements.
Dr. Moomaw is a Professor Emeritus, Tufts University; Center for International Environmental & Resource Policy, Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, and a Distinguished Visiting Scientist at the Woodwell Climate Research Center.
