Dana Schnitzer Youth & Junior Choirs Director Dana Schnitzer, soprano, completed her graduate work in voice at the New England Conservatory of Music in 2005, and her undergraduate work in voice at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 2003.  She is pursuing a career in opera, and has appeared in leading roles with the Boston Opera Collaborative, Quisisana Festival, Mass Theatrica, Commonwealth Opera Company, and the Brevard Music Festival, among others. Dana has attended numerous summer music festivals as a young artist and has won many competitions, including winning first place in the National Association of Teachers’ Singing Competition, Boston Chapter, in both 2004 and 2005.  In addition to singing, Dana has a blossoming career as a private voice teacher and a choral conductor.  As First Parish’s Director of Children’s Choirs, she has had a wonderful time with both choirs this year and has seen so much progress in the kids’ singing!
